HEY, I have a job.
But that's not important right now. I want to write about how I've come to the realization that I require a hat. Well... I suppose "require" is a bit much. But it sounds more intriguing than "I'm looking for a hat, durr durr durr."
Anyways, let me continue...
Winter is soon approaching, and with it's lovely frost bite comes the snow and cold. I think I may have a toque stored someplace for such a time, but this year I've been pondering about a possible change of hat. I'm thinking something classic looking... like what Polly wears in SkyCaptain [a fedora?]. Or mabie a hat like Detective Murdoch's [whats it called?].
...A hat where, if someone were to see it, they'd know it was me. And they'd all say "My oh my, that hat looks so handsome on you, Dj." And I could be all like "Oh I know. Ohohohoh~"
...A hat so epic that if I were to tip my hat and wink at you, you'd jizz your pants right there.
So far I haven't found such a hat. I'm sure one must exist though.
And so... The search has begun!

Time. [Although I suppose it would be more expirational, eh? *lame joke*]

On to business...

Hwooo... Posting after a long absence is never good. Nor for you, or I. But if you're still reading this I guess that's just as well. Sit down, relax, take off your socks and I'll tell you of what has happened in these passing weeks.

The town's bus system is on strike. Apparently they don't get paid enough. As a result, most of my time away has been time spent without a change of location.

Papercrafts and Pepakura modeling

It keeps the mind off unhealthy thoughts which resurface now and again to derail me. Sometimes they find ways to stack themselves like dominoes, unleashing like a torrent if ignored for too long. It's a constant struggle of focus... which can be tiresome, if not an annoyance, to one's daily life.
Several days I find myself alone not only in a physical sense, but in a metaphoric state of being left behind. ...It is my hope that with time, these feelings will pass. The weather could most likely be to blame in such an instance, perhaps. Until then I spend my days doing whatever comes to mind. Mostly reading. I've always had a thirst for literature, it seems.
Right now I am reading "The Accordion Crimes". Comics have also occupied my time. Just finished reading this week's "Invincible IronMan" and "Amazing SpiderMan". Although attention hasn't been entirely on those series, as you most likely can assume. Another series by the title of "Ruse" has caught my attention. Speaking of which, the comicbook shelves are in definate lackage of Victorian Era comics, which is rather bothersome for this fan over here. There are also times I'd give anything to find a copy of "Starman", but that's an entirely different genre of comic right there.
I have also become more aware of the newspapers, especially anything in relation to world affairs. [the weekly funnies are interesting too, but they currently seem a bit dull and overshadow the fact that I am without a doubt, entirely useless at sudoku]

Writing letters

I'm dreadful at it. To even receive a posted letter from someone is more than I can ever ask for. And I think that might be a crucial difference between it and email nowadays. There's just something so much more realistic about reading a written letter than reading font displayed on a screen. Even if I'm not the fastest writer [apparently I hold a pencil "wrong"], I want to try and write more. I want to look back on those letters and smile, knowing it wasn't on a screen, but in my hands and in my heart. Speaking of which, I should post that letter to them soon. ...As soon as I figure out which one to post, that is. It seems I've ended up with about a handful of letters, all addressed to the same person.
I cannot even begin to fathom why. I suppose just wanted to write to them so badly that I kept going, and starting over. *le sigh* ...Such a let down I've become!
